Dr. Xu Kai, M.M, vice chief physician, has been working in gastroenterology department and endoscopy center for more than 20 years. He specializes in the internal medicine and endoscopic treatment of all kinds of digestive system diseases, especially the endoscopic diagnosis of early-stage cancers and precancerous lesions of the digestive tract, and the preoperative assessment of these cancers and lesions using magnification endoscopy, narrow band imaging, dyeing and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS); Use of endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for the minimally invasive resection of early-stage cancers and precancerous lesions of the digestive tract; EUS and EUS elastography for the diagnosis of the biliary and pancreatic system diseases; EUS guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) for space-occupying lesions of the biliary and pancreatic systems, such as pancreatic cancer, the wall of the digestive tract, the posterior mediastinum and the posterior peritoneum; ERCP treatment for diseases of the biliary and pancreatic systems.
