He has produced a series of achievements in the intravascular ultrasound technology, research and development of new coronary stents, intervention strategies for complex and difficult coronary artery diseases, cell therapy for coronary artery diseases and other fields. As the project leader, he has undertaken more than 20 national and provincial scientific research projects, and participated in a number of international multi-center clinical research projects. As the corresponding author, Academician Ge has published more than 490 papers indexed by SCI or SCI-E, edited 1 English monograph, translated 1 monograph, and edited 21 Chinese monographs.
